Oma and Josh have flown over from the mighty New Zealand to spend a little under two weeks with us. You went in for a cuddle with Oma as soon as you were unleashed from the ergo, I can not tell you how glad and happy that made me. Some times I get nervous you won't form strong bonds with our family and friends being that we live in a different country, but baby you prove me wrong! You had such a blast right from word go with these two! We went to south bank for a splish sposh and a coffee. You quite enjoyed the water and hanging with uncle Jbird, with one documented exception ;)

'Love & Byron' 19.4.14
Byron Bay, you glorious piece of work! We unkowingly chose the busiest weekend to experience Byron as being easter, it was the blues fest. With people everywhere and loads of traffic, it really was still so peaceful, relaxing and beautiful. Charli bear is without question a water baby and I am very much smitten. On Saturday afternoon we headed to the beach, little did I know I would return an engaged woman. At sunset, while I was taking photos this beautiful man got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, I of course said yes.

'A Little Help From My Friends' 10th March 2014
I have had a very sick baby! There were temperatures of 39.7c, poop EVERYwhere and lots and lots of grizzly sounds. My poor little cherub! At least Daddy came home to dish out sweet sweet man cuddles and assist with poop duty! Eventually Charli got by with a little help from her friends and happiness was restored :)
'Swimmers' 5th March 2014
I dont think there is much that is cuter than two little girls in their hats and swimmers! Ah these two! They have grown up far too fast, they must have conspired as they have done it together! I must say it is reassuring knowing that other people are loosing their 'baby' with me :p The definition of 'catching up' with my fellow Mummy friends seems to change dramatically with each meeting. It really is incredible how fast little ones grow, so we just have to squeeze them as much as we can and cover them with kisses while they are still easy to catch.

'Picnic In The Park' 2nd March 2014
Charli, you are a gorgeous little soul! You have so much cheekiness inside of you just bursting to get out! Today we went to the park, one of our favourites, with some of our favourite people.
You loved eating all the cheese and crackers. You loved putting your hands in my water and then putting your dirt covered and now wet hands all over me. The dirt was incredible as was the bark you found and trying to steal the strawberry from my bubbles was not an easy feat.
You thought running down a hill at full speed was a hoot, but getting chased and caught/saved was the highlight I think. We made temporary friends because you wanted to meet the little 'woof's, and you made a lovely lady quite clucky. Tim pushed you around on your ghetto bike while Sarah and I enjoyed our little picnic. It was a gorgeous day out, if you could talk I am sure you would tell me that you had a pretty rad time, and of course that I am such a neat mummy =p

'Lucky People' 1st March 2014
Despite the last picture, these little people love hanging out together! Just as well, because I really like hanging out with this wee man and his Mum. What luck we had, to have crossed paths when we did, these two were just hiding in our bellies and I couldn't imagine what is now before my eyes =)

'Two Friends' 31st January 2014
Two little girls belonging to two friends in the place we grew up. Nicole and I have been friends since we were 13. We lived at each others houses, shared beds and adventures, slept days away and stayed up all night. We were partners in mischief and most things and were there for each other through the good, bad, and embarrassing. She is such a beautiful woman who has made a gorgeous wee girl to share this journey of life with. Now we both have new little people who keep us very busy with mischief and most things, but despite living in different countries, we are still wonderful friends. I am so glad our little people get to grow up together, even though they are apart. Friends are such a beautiful part of life, I only hope Charli has friends as wonderful as I do.

25th January 2014 'Where Memories Are Made'
Screaming as loud as you can in the tunnel
The flying fox and the old, loudly painted tractors
Spinning in circles, as fast as you can
Mr Whippy, serving smiles in a cone
The smell of metal on your hands and the feel of bark in your shoes
The swings, the slides, the laughter
The absolute joy and Oma & Opa
The children running free with wind in their hair
Rocking the swing bridge over the river
Carrying apples to feed the deer and bread for the ducks
Together or apart in this wonderful world
You and I both share this place where our memories can go.

18th January 14 'The 1st Party'
Today is the day we celebrate your birthday with our family & friends! It was busy busy busy and of course you really needed a sleep precisely when everyone had arrived, with all of the commotion you didn't sleep for long so you weren't exactly your happy little self...until everyone left! You loved the watermelon on popsicle sticks and you eventually found the pram, drunk your bathwater (and found it halarious) and didn't go to bed until 9pm.
At your party I asked all of our guests to write down some advice or words of wisdom for you. We decided with a vote that I would give you the tin to open on your 13th birthday.
We had helping hands and smiling faces every where, with so many giving, loving people in our lives, we most certainly are blessed!
16th January 14 ' A Smashing Birthday'
One year of breastfeeding
One year of broken sleep
One year since I gave birth to you
One year since I had absolutely no clue
One whole year filled with you
Time has just flown by us and I wouldn't change a thing, you glorious little being!
Today you had your very first birthday cake, in cake smashing fashion of course!
You couldn't beleive your luck when nobody stopped you tucking into something this delicious!
You stuffed cake in and around your mouth, you clapped and laughed in between mouthfuls and decided your feet could do with a taste too. It was the funniest, most gorgeous thing I have seen.
Happy birthday my beautiful little darling, I love you!
You have had your first Christmas
You have had eight plane rides
You can now say cat, and dog
You put phones up to your ear and say hello
You shake your head when you dont want something
You give cuddles and kisses
You say ta in the cutest little voice when you want something or you want to give it away
You scream ta if you want something and you are not getting it
You have taken more steps, you squat and stand unasisted alot
You have been scratched by a cat
You have petted donkeys, lamas and goats
You get grumpy when you are hungry
You have spent a night away from us with Oma and without boobie
You love playing with daddy and riding on his shoulders
You sleep on your tummy with your bum in the air
You throw yourself back in absolute misery when occassion calls for it
You play peak a boo by lifting blankets in front off your face
You get so excited when taking steps that your top half moves faster than your feet
You love to hold onto little travel kit bottles, they are the perfect fit
You 'lodi lodi lodi lol' a lot and it is just the cutest thing
You think running (crawling) away naked at bath time is absolutely hilarious!
You are such a happy little camper, you make me laugh everyday and you mean more to me than I could ever express.
