18th January 14 'The 1st Party'

Today is the day we celebrate your birthday with our family & friends! It was busy busy busy and of course you really needed a sleep precisely when everyone had arrived, with all of the commotion you didn't sleep for long so you weren't exactly your happy little self...until everyone left! You loved the watermelon on popsicle sticks and you eventually found the pram, drunk your bathwater (and found it halarious) and didn't go to bed until 9pm.

At your party I asked all of our guests to write down some advice or words of wisdom for you. We decided with a vote that I would give you the tin to open on your 13th birthday.
We had helping hands and smiling faces every where, with so many giving, loving people in our lives, we most certainly are blessed!

 It has been,

One year of breastfeeding
One year of broken sleep
One year since I gave birth to you
One year since I had absolutely no clue
One whole year filled with you
Time has just flown by us and I wouldn't change a thing, you glorious little being!

Today you had your very first birthday cake, in cake smashing fashion of course!
You couldn't beleive your luck when nobody stopped you tucking into something this delicious!
You stuffed cake in and around your mouth, you clapped and laughed in between mouthfuls and decided your feet could do with a taste too.  It was the funniest, most gorgeous thing I have seen.
Happy birthday my beautiful little darling, I love you!

You have had your first Christmas
You have had eight plane rides
You can now say cat, and dog
You put phones up to your ear and say hello
You shake your head when you dont want something
You give cuddles and kisses
You say ta in the cutest little voice when you want something or you want to give it away
You scream ta if you want something and you are not getting it
You have taken more steps, you squat and stand unasisted alot
You have been scratched by a cat
You have petted donkeys, lamas and goats
You get grumpy when you are hungry
You have spent a night away from us with Oma and without boobie
You love playing with daddy and riding on his shoulders
You sleep on your tummy with your bum in the air
You throw yourself back in absolute misery when occassion calls for it
You play peak a boo by lifting blankets in front off your face
You get so excited when taking steps that your top half moves faster than your feet
You love to hold onto little travel kit bottles, they are the perfect fit
You 'lodi lodi lodi lol' a lot and it is just the cutest thing
You think running (crawling) away naked at bath time is absolutely hilarious!
You are such a happy little camper, you make me laugh everyday and you mean more to me than I could ever express.

10th January 2014 'Chasing tail'

 We chased tail and explored Oma's garden today! It has become apparent that Charli loves cats and touching everything with her little pointy finger.

2nd January 2014 ' A wet one'

 

 

 

It's a brand new year, and there is a first time for everything! Today's was quite a spectacular event (my apologies in advance). With an audience of Mummy, Daddy, Nanny and Aunty Nicola, Charli stood up and pooped in the bath! We nearly died with laughter =)

After a very long day and a lot of flying yesterday, we have arrived in New Zealand and all of a sudden it is Christmas!

21st December 'Moustache Party'

Today we celebrated my friends and I's birthdays early with some very special people before we fly to New Zealand. We had a Mexican feast and many mustaches (even the cake was a glorious mo). Charli baby wasn't too enthusiastic about her facial hair, but the things you do for love ay!?

20th December 'Unfolding'

 

A little some body has learnt how to open her drawers and 'help' Mummy with unfolding.

11 Months 16th December

Charli you are cheeky
You have such a mischievous wee smile
You empty entire drawers and cupboards in no time at all
You push things around with your hands while crawling
You crawl with whatever you want to bring with you in your mouth
You smile, you laugh, you yell, you cry
You LOVE greek yoghurt, strawberries and my healthy chocolatey things
You like to empty my bag and wallet ,and whoever else's is lying around
You have taken a few steps and can stand up alone
You know how to close drawers when I ask you to
You love exploring, crawling and walking around things
You push a walker around creche
You come over to me and sit on my foot, wanting a horsey ride
You give me cuddles
You love shower time and playing with Daddy
You try to brush your own hair
You get quite frustrated when you don't get your own way
You seem to be scared of balloons
You have many toys but always prefer to play with any and everything else in the house
 The toilet paper, holder and brush must have light shining from them
You keep me company when Daddy is away, not to mention busy!
You didn't like Santa very much, but I am sure you soon will!
You a such a delight to have in my life and to fill up my days, I love you more than any words can say.
